1. Product description:

Strontium carbonate, chemical formula SrCO3, molecular weight 147.63. Colorless prismatic crystal or white powder. At 926℃, it is converted to hexagonal crystal system. Melting point 1497℃(6.08×106Pa), relative density 3.70. Slightly soluble in water, slightly soluble in saturated solutions of carbon dioxide, soluble in ammonium chloride, ammonium nitrate and carbonic acid solutions. Carbon dioxide is produced by interaction with dilute hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and acetic acid. It begins to decompose at 820℃, and gradually loses carbon dioxide at 1340℃. At white heat, it is completely decomposed into strontium oxide and carbon dioxide, and the gas can reach 1.01×105Pa. It is prepared by adding ammonium carbonate and ammonia to strontium salt solution. Used as electronic component material, spectral reagent, color TV cathode ray tube, red fireworks material, rainbow glass and other raw materials of strontium salt.
